Of All the Planets, Saturn usually conjures up the most intense feelings of Fear, even in the most courageous of hearts.

Saturn doesn't make things easy. For its role as teacher, it only concerns itself with Life's Lessons and the Karma attached to past experiences, patterns and unconscious choices. Saturn is a reminder to every action there is a reaction and is always returned.

Saturn's destructive reputation is forever present in the rise and fall of Empires, Civilisations and Times of Old. His masculine omnipresence is enough to shake up the most rooted of physical and spiritual foundations and materialises in the form of death, The Grim Reaper and/or Birth, Father Time. Saturn is the Time Keeper of Birth and Death and the measure of Time, hence its symbol the sickle and The Cross, "God of the Harvest", and "Father Time."

Nothing is long lasting with out the touch of Saturn. "Grow up", he demands, "or there will be consequence." Force or Flow, the choice is yours. Rise or Fall.....the only thing that is for certain is, that Change is here in all ways in Saturn's Presence and gifted is Self Control, knowing and Wisdom for those whom do the hard work.

The essence is of psychological and Spiritual learning, growth, expansion and development. The Journey is the Lesson and the Intentions involved are important on how things will develop and mature. Self Responsibility is key, as what is given out will be returned three fold by Saturn. He is very fair, very just and a believer in tough Love.

Lead, the first and the oldest of the seven metals of Alchemy is dominated by Saturn. Lead is the metal of transformation and redemption and shares much of it's qualities with Saturn and his positive and negative effect.

Lead is a dark, poisonous, malefic material associated with death and decay. At the same time, burning Lead it purifies corruption and is transformed into the most valuable of all metals.....Gold.

Saturn Retrograde will make Us All revisit All things that no longer serve us, that are self sabotage to our physical and Spiritual growth and poisonous to our Self Love and to the Collective. There will be big choices to be made for these things are our attachments, our fleshly pleasures, our self gratifications and our own selfish Wills.

Will you follow the patterns of old, the drama, the same old response to the same old energy, the same old outcome. Change or Repeat. Sometimes we get stuck, not because we love it, or it is good for us....but because it is all WE KNOW.

Or will you let it burn. Surrender to the light what has surfaced again, do the work and transcend what again has come to light, step into the unknown and make space for something new, something of Gold, of positivity, of purpose. Something of Light, love, Inspiration, desire and true to you?

Saturn feels dense and slow. His assistance and the stepping stones he gives take hard work, drive and all responsibility but his effects are immediate. There is no cheating Saturn for ALL after retrograde.....there will be a harvest.

What Will you Harvest, what of Lead in your existence will you turn into Gold??
